Investors planning to add to crypto holdings over next 12 months
Charles Schwab’s 2026 Modern Wealth Survey found 60.0% of current crypto investors plan to invest more over the next year, a higher share than for ETFs, stocks, bonds, or mutual funds.
American investors who already hold cryptocurrency want to keep adding over the next year, according to new research from Charles Schwab cited by Bitcoin Magazine.
The outlet said Schwab’s 2026 Modern Wealth Survey, released on Wednesday, found that 6 in 10 current cryptocurrency investors plan to invest more during the next 12 months.
Bitcoin Magazine reported that this share is higher than among owners of other investments it measured, including ETFs at 56.0%, stocks at 52.0%, bonds at 42.0%, and mutual funds at 41.0%.
Bitcoin Magazine also attributed the survey findings to Joe Vietri, Schwab’s Head of Digital Assets, who said existing crypto investors are leaning in, particularly younger investors driving interest and momentum in cryptocurrency.
