Kyrgyzstan shuts down gold-backed USDKG token, offers fiat or USDT
The project plans to retire USDKG tokens, but its shutdown paperwork does not specify what will happen to the gold reserves.
Kyrgyzstan is winding down its gold-backed USDKG token, according to The Defiant.
The project says holders can request either fiat or USDT as part of the token retirement process.
However, The Defiant reports that the shutdown documents do not state how the token’s gold reserves will be handled.
