Rothera signs for 3,915 sq ft at 242 W 38th Street office
The lease deals at the Garment District building total 10,266 square feet, with an asking rent of $45 per square foot.
Commercial Observer reports that Cohen Capital and Solomon Acquisitions signed three new office leases at their Garment District property, 242 West 38th Street.
The largest tenant, Rothera, a derivatives exchange and clearinghouse, took 3,915 square feet on the building’s eighth floor. The asking rent was $45 per square foot, while the lease term was not disclosed.
Commercial Observer adds that the three deals combined for 10,266 square feet. In addition to Rothera, Bader Media signed a 3,651-square-foot lease for space on the building’s 10th floor, and the lease length was also not disclosed.
The article says Rothera plans to relocate from a coworking space, though the temporary office location and move timing were not clarified. The landlord was represented by Newmark’s JD Cohen and Ariel Harwood, and Rothera was represented by David Katz from CBRE, who did not immediately respond.
