SpaceX asks Florida regulators to approve a 32.4-mile gas pipeline

The proposed 16-inch line would run through Brevard County to link SpaceX launch operations at Cape Canaveral to the Florida Gas Transmission system.

SpaceX is seeking regulatory approval to build a 32.4-mile natural gas pipeline in Florida, according to OilPrice.

The company plans to connect the pipeline directly to the interstate gas network to support its expanding launch operations at Cape Canaveral.

OilPrice reports the proposed 16-inch pipeline would run through Brevard County and connect SpaceX operations directly to the Florida Gas Transmission system.

The goal is to give the company a dedicated source of natural gas for its launch activities.
