THORChain logs $3.01 million September income amid Bitget-linked surge
About $1.37 billion, or 57% of September swap volume, crossed THORChain between Sept. 25 and Sept. 29, with roughly $1.9 million of income in that same window.
THORChain said its cross-chain exchange produced $3.01 million in system income in September, its highest since March 2025, as Bitget-linked flows drove its busiest stretch in more than a year, according to CryptoSlate.
The protocol also reported swap volume rising to $2.40 billion in September, the most since June 2025, with activity concentrated into five days following the Bitget hack.
CryptoSlate reported that between Sept. 25 and Sept. 29, about $1.37 billion of swap volume, or 57% of the monthly total, moved through THORChain, while the network generated roughly $1.9 million of income, about 63% of September’s total.
THORChain said the surge coincided with funds linked to the Bitget exploit moving through the network, and it argued that selective intervention would conflict with its permissionless design.
