Sterlite Technologies shares jump 880% in 2026 on AI optical demand
The company said it has secured major order wins, including a supply agreement potentially worth $1.2 billion, as AI-led demand supports its outlook.
Sterlite Technologies shares have surged about 880% in 2026, reaching ₹1,011, defying broader market weakness driven by rising geopolitical tensions, according to LiveMint Markets.
The rally has been supported by repeated order wins tied to AI-led demand for optical fiber cables, which the outlet said strengthens the company’s operational outlook.
LiveMint Markets also notes Sterlite has improved its performance in recent quarters and has broadened its footprint, positioning it as the largest optical fiber and optical fiber cable manufacturer in the country.
The outlet further points to the company expanding in overseas markets and cites a recent supply agreement that could be worth $1.2 billion, helping underpin its growth plans.
