US transfers 9,261 seized Bitcoin to Coinbase Prime

The transfer includes 2,456 BTC from newly discovered holdings that may represent additional law enforcement seizures.

Cointelegraph reports that the US government transferred 9,261 Bitcoin to Coinbase Prime.

The BTC moved over the past two days was valued at about $770 million, according to the report.

Coinbase Prime received about half of the transferred coins that were recovered from the Bitfinex hackers, and another portion tied to known Binance seizures, as described by Galaxy Research.

The remaining 2,456 BTC was identified as coming from previously unknown holdings and was sent to the US government seizure address on Coinbase Prime, which Galaxy said may represent new federal law enforcement seizures.
