XPT Specialty launches Texas homeowners binding authority program

The program offers Coverage A limits starting at $300,000, with wind-inclusive and ex-wind options based on territory.

XPT Specialty has launched a Texas Homeowners Binding Authority program for primary, secondary, seasonal, and rental homes statewide, targeting well-maintained properties. The offering includes Coverage A limits starting at $300,000, or $500,000 for HO-5 coverage, with total insured values up to $2 million.

Coverage is designed to include wind-inclusive and ex-wind options, depending on the territory. XPT Specialty said the program provides retail partners access to in-house binding authority for homeowners and dwelling coverage to help shorten turnaround for qualifying risks.

In announcing the expansion, Coverager reported that XPT Specialty is adding the Texas program as severe weather exposure and rising rebuilding costs continue to constrain homeowners capacity in the state. Glen Pomeroy, executive vice president of personal lines at XPT Specialty, said retailers need responsive capacity and clear guidelines they can bind with confidence.
