Taylor approves Taylor Technology Campus data center project
The plan targets up to 1 gigawatt of hyperscale capacity on a roughly 664-acre site in Austin’s technology corridor, using behind-the-meter power generation.
Co-development partners Big Watt Digital and PowerHouse Data Centers received approval from the town of Taylor for a turnkey data center campus project, according to ConnectCRE.
The partners plan to develop Taylor Technology Campus on an approximately 664-acre site in Austin’s fast-growing technology corridor.
The project is positioned to deliver up to 1 gigawatt of hyperscale data center capacity, and it is designed to rely on dedicated behind-the-meter power generation supported by nearby infrastructure.
ConnectCRE said the campus would leverage access to major transportation and fiber infrastructure, along with nearby high-voltage transmission assets and natural gas resources to support large-scale power generation.
