Australia tech investors relocate to Singapore, Dubai to expand reach

Investor Ben Lindsay moved from Sydney to Singapore in March to grow Investible from an Australian base into an Asia-Pacific one, highlighting a broader shift toward regional hubs.

Investor Ben Lindsay relocated with his wife and dog from Sydney to Singapore in March, aiming to grow his venture capital firm Investible from an Australian operation into an Asia-Pacific platform, according to SCMP Economy.

The outlet says Lindsay is among a growing number of Australian investors, business leaders, and tech founders setting up bases in Singapore, Dubai, and San Francisco to expand their companies' reach.

SCMP Economy also cites Adrian Portelli, founder of the savings and rewards platform LMCT+, who announced in August that he was moving to Dubai, while noting Singapore stood out for its start-up ecosystem and proximity to Australia.
