Investors cut optimism on global growth as tech exposure stays crowded

Bank of America’s survey, conducted Oct. 2 to Oct. 8 among 161 managers overseeing $453 billion, found technology positioning near a six-year extreme while US Treasuries exposure turned more bearish.

Bank of America’s Global Fund Manager Survey found investors have become less optimistic about the macroeconomic outlook, even as technology exposure remains near an extreme level, according to Forexlive.

The survey was conducted from October 2 to October 8 and polled 161 participants managing $453 billion in assets.

Positioning in semiconductors remains among the most crowded trades, while US Treasuries positioning skews bearish, creating potential contrarian opportunities if growth slows or inflation eases, the outlet said.
