MediaMarkt removes Ledger products amid tampering reports

The retailer said it has removed Ledger items from its stores and online platforms while staying in contact with the wallet maker.

European electronics retailer MediaMarktSaturn has removed Ledger products from its stores and online platforms after reports of tampered hardware wallets, Cointelegraph reports.

A MediaMarktSaturn spokesperson said the company is in contact with Ledger and that it is taking the incident “very seriously,” according to an email to Cointelegraph.

Cointelegraph also cited an X user, Johannes, who claimed Monday that two Ledger wallets bought from separate MediaMarkt stores contained unauthorized cable components.
