Willis Re hires Zara Fountaine for credit, surety and political risk

The reinsurance advisory and broking joint venture said the hire is meant to add direct broking experience and deepen relationships with banks, export credit agencies and insurers.

Willis Re has welcomed Zara Fountaine to its team to strengthen its credit, surety and political risk capabilities, the reinsurance advisory and broking joint venture said. Fountaine brings expertise aimed at helping clients navigate what Willis Re described as an increasingly complex risk landscape.

Willis Re said Fountaine began her career at Lloyd’s of London, later training as a direct broker in Willis’s Political and Credit Risk team. She subsequently joined another global broker, where she managed its UK Public Agency portfolio.

According to Willis Re, the new appointment reflects its focus on building expertise and supporting clients across credit, surety and political risk markets.

Willis Re credited the hire as adding direct-side knowledge and established relationships with banks, export credit agencies and insurers and reinsurers, citing comments from James Loggie, Head of Credit, Surety and Political Risk.
