Acrisure launches UK private client office for complex insurance needs

The new service, Acrisure Private Office, follows Acrisure’s acquisition of Smith Greenfield earlier this year and is led by Steve Smith.

Acrisure, a global fintech company spanning insurance, reinsurance, and other financial services, has launched Acrisure Private Office in the UK to serve high net worth individuals and families with complex personal insurance requirements.

The initiative comes after Acrisure’s acquisition of Smith Greenfield earlier this year, integrating specialized private client expertise into the firm, with Steve Smith, founder of Smith Greenfield for more than 30 years, heading the newly created team.

Acrisure says the service is designed to coordinate a client’s broader risk picture across multiple insurance-related areas, drawing on specialist expertise from property, collections, travel, cyber, health, and personal liability.

In remarks carried by Reinsurance News, Acrisure UK’s Steve Smith said private client insurance is becoming more complex as clients manage multiple assets and face emerging risks like cyber exposure, and he highlighted growing demand around intergenerational planning and ensuring suitable cover for the next generation.
