Arrowhead Programs promotes Mark Kaufman to SVP and chief actuary
The expanded role puts Kaufman in charge of actuarial, data science and catastrophe modeling teams supporting the company’s program business.
Arrowhead Programs, a division of Arrowhead Intermediaries, promoted Mark Kaufman to senior vice president and chief actuary, effective after he joined the firm in 2023, according to Risk & Insurance.
In his expanded role, Kaufman oversees the actuarial, data science and catastrophe modeling teams that support Arrowhead Programs’ program business, with responsibilities tied to pricing and portfolio performance for carrier partners and specialty solutions for agents.
Risk & Insurance reports that Kaufman brings more than 30 years of experience in specialty insurance, including leadership overseeing actuarial and finance functions at national carriers.
The company says his teams operate as an integrated analytics platform covering profitability evaluation, predictive modeling and in-house catastrophe modeling across exposures including earthquake, flood, wind, wildfire, and other natural catastrophe risks.
