Cathay Pacific confirms runway strike involving A330 tail at Hong Kong
Hong Kong’s aviation regulator ordered the airline to submit a report after the incident.
Cathay Pacific Airways confirmed that the tail of a passenger aircraft struck the runway at Hong Kong airport last week, according to SCMP Economy. The airline said the Airbus A330-300 on flight CX509 from Tokyo’s Narita airport made contact with the runway.
SCMP Economy added that Hong Kong’s aviation regulator ordered Cathay Pacific to submit a report following the incident.
