Bitcoin, altcoins drop after Trump declares ceasefire with Iran over

Crypto markets and U.S. equities slid after U.S. President Donald Trump said the ceasefire with Iran is "over" amid renewed airstrikes and retaliation, according to CoinDesk.
CoinDesk reported that Bitcoin and ether fell more than 2%, while altcoins saw steeper losses, with JUP, ETHFI and PUMP down between 5.5% and 9.3%. The outlet also said Solana wiped out its entire July rally after the risk-off move.
The article cited liquidation data showing $450 million of $350 million coming from altcoin pairs, and noted that the CoinDesk 20 Index dropped 2.9% since midnight UTC, with all but one token declining.
CoinDesk added that U.S. equity moves included Nasdaq 100 and S&P 500 index futures tumbling as much as 1.5%, alongside a rise in the Dollar Index as investors weighed potential inflation concerns tied to the renewed tensions.
