SpaceX makes small internal bitcoin transfers for first time in six months

CoinDesk reports SpaceX moved less than $300 worth of bitcoin across its own wallets, with no transfers to exchanges, totaling 18,712 BTC still held by the company.

SpaceX has made its first visible bitcoin wallet movements in about six months, but onchain activity indicates the company did not sell or transfer coins to an exchange, according to CoinDesk.

On-chain trackers found SpaceX shifted a small amount of bitcoin between its own addresses in three transfers totaling under $300. The largest transaction moved 0.00213 BTC, about $135, between wallets tagged as belonging to the company, while two smaller transfers moved 0.00139 BTC, about $89, and 0.000738 BTC, around $47.

CoinDesk said the third transfer involved Coinbase Prime's custody service topping up a SpaceX address, a pattern it described as consistent with funding for network fees before a larger action. None of the activity showed bitcoin reaching an exchange deposit address or leaving SpaceX's control.

The transfers have drawn extra attention since SpaceX went public on June 12, when its IPO filing disclosed its full bitcoin holding for the first time. CoinDesk reported SpaceX still holds 18,712 BTC, and it previously enabled far less bitcoin to be tied to the company onchain.
