Starwind Specialty launches underwriting program for homes over $5 million
The excess and surplus program covers primary, secondary, and rental properties, with no portfolio placement required for homeowners, and is backed by carriers rated A- or higher by AM Best.
Starwind Specialty Insurance Services, a CRC Group company, has launched Starwind High Value Homes, a new underwriting management program aimed at insurance solutions for high-value residential properties.
The program targets properties valued above $5 million and can accommodate primary residences, secondary homes, and rental properties, with coverage offered through the excess and surplus lines market.
Starwind said the initiative is designed to respond to evolving risks tied to climate conditions, rising property values, and more complex construction and occupancy profiles, positioning it as a modern alternative to traditional high-net-worth coverage.
The company said the program is supported by carriers rated A- or higher by AM Best, is distributed in partnership with CRC Specialty’s wholesale brokers, and does not require portfolio placement so homeowners can secure coverage without bundling additional lines.
