BoMill boosts grain sorting throughput without expanding its footprint
BoMill says the upgraded BoMill InSight configuration doubles maximum sorting capacity to 30 tonnes per hour by keeping the same platform footprint.
BoMill, a grain sorting equipment maker, introduced a high-capacity configuration for its BoMill InSight sorting platform aimed at larger flour mills, grain handlers, and malthouses. The company said the upgrade increases maximum sorting capacity from 15 to 30 tonnes per hour in the same installation footprint, lowering investment cost per tonne sorted while improving return on investment.
The new configuration is designed for large-scale, in-line integration and supports up to 14 sorting units. BoMill also highlighted a service-friendly design that lets each sorting unit be slid from its operating position into a service position, with the goal of simplifying cleaning and maintenance while minimizing downtime.
Because the BoMill InSight platform is modular, the company said the high-capacity configuration can be offered as an upgrade for existing installations. Upgrades include changes to both sorting units and the frame, and BoMill said the frame has the same footprint, allowing straightforward, cost-efficient upgrades without replacing sorting units already installed.
BoMill said the upgrade was developed in response to requests from existing and prospective customers. According to the company, its new frame design and higher throughput per sorting unit together double the maximum capacity, while remaining fully compatible with the existing BoMill InSight platform.
