NGFA appoints Evan Dean to lead federal advocacy

Dean will start July 13 and oversee NGFA’s federal government and legislative affairs for U.S. grain, feed, processing, and export industries.

The National Grain and Feed Association has named Evan Dean as vice president for government and legislative affairs, with an effective start date of July 13, World Grain reports.

Dean will lead NGFA’s federal advocacy efforts and help advance the association’s policy priorities for the grain, feed, processing, and export industries in the United States.

World Grain says Dean previously worked in the office of U.S. Representative Mike Flood of Nebraska as legislative director, where he advised on legislative strategy and policy and managed a portfolio covering agriculture, trade, energy, transportation, and telecommunications.

Before joining Flood’s office, Dean served as a legislative correspondent for U.S. Representative Greg Pence of Indiana and worked in the office of U.S. Senator Thom Tillis of North Carolina, World Grain adds.
