ALKEME Insurance buys Virtue Risk Partners to expand specialty underwriting

The acquisition adds Virtue Risk Partners’ casualty and environmental underwriting experience and an MGA platform serving clients across all 50 US states.

ALKEME Insurance, a US insurance brokerage, announced it has acquired Virtue Risk Partners, a managing general agent based in Pearl River, New York, that focuses on specialty insurance solutions.

ALKEME said Virtue’s MGA platform is designed to deliver tailored insurance products, along with risk management and claims expertise for contractors, consultants, and engineers across all 50 US states. The company also said the deal strengthens its programme business by adding Virtue’s specialist underwriting capabilities.

Virtue’s team brings more than 65 years of combined experience, with a background in casualty and environmental specialty underwriting, and the acquisition is intended to expand the range of solutions ALKEME can offer in key US markets.

ALKEME framed the move as part of its broader growth strategy, partnering with insurance businesses that share its approach to client service and culture, while Virtue said the combination provides scale and resources to accelerate its underwriting, innovation, and growth.
