Nebula MGA becomes a Lloyd’s coverholder
The designation allows the Miami-based MGA to access Lloyd’s underwriting capacity directly and expand into additional specialty lines and markets.
Nebula MGA, a managing general agent headquartered in Miami, has been officially designated as a Lloyd’s Coverholder, a milestone that supports the firm’s expansion and specialty underwriting focus, according to Reinsurance News.
Founded in 2021 by Raúl Pérez and Alejandro Rebolledo, Nebula said it has grown into an international insurance platform with a presence across North America, Latin America, Europe, Africa, and the Middle East.
The company credited Markel International Reinsurance Company Ltd., particularly Markel’s International Casualty team, for guidance and sponsorship during the Lloyd’s approval process, noting that the support helped it strengthen its casualty underwriting capabilities.
Nebula added that as a coverholder, it can directly access underwriting capacity from Lloyd’s, giving it more agility to scale into additional specialty lines and enter new markets, while also improving how it serves clients, brokers, MGAs, and partners worldwide.
