SiriusPoint appoints Mark Aspinall to lead Fine Art & Specie team
The new team is set to launch in January 2027 and is expected to build a scalable fine art and specie offering within SiriusPoint’s specialty platform.
SiriusPoint Ltd. has named Mark Aspinall head of its newly formed Fine Art & Specie team, with the appointment effective January 2027, according to Risk & Insurance.
SiriusPoint said the hire supports its effort to expand targeted specialty capabilities in areas it views as offering well-priced business and profitable growth. The company also framed the new offering as a complement to adjacent Marine lines such as cargo and war, political violence and terrorism.
Aspinall is based in London and brings more than 35 years of experience in the Lloyd’s and London markets. Risk & Insurance said he joins from Liberty Specialty Markets, where he served as Senior Underwriter for Fine Art & Specie, after earlier senior underwriting roles at Travelers Syndicate 5000.
In his new role, Aspinall will report to Global Head of Marine Chris Fenn. He will lead efforts to build a portfolio spanning fine art institutions, private collections, luxury retailers, auction houses, and secure transportation providers.
