John Enright appointed to lead Berkley Specialty London from July 1, 2026
The appointment is set for July 1, 2026, and is subject to regulatory approvals as Enright replaces James Hastings in the role.
W.R. Berkley Corporation has appointed John Enright as President of Berkley Specialty London and as Chief Executive Officer of W. R. Berkley Syndicate Management Limited, effective July 1, 2026, according to Reinsurance News.
W. R. Berkley Syndicate Management Limited serves as the Lloyd’s managing agent for W. R. Berkley Syndicate 1967, and the leadership change is subject to regulatory approvals.
Enright succeeds James Hastings, who will continue serving in a corporate role at Berkley and support the transition. Enright previously worked as Chief Operating Officer of Berkley Specialty London and has nearly two decades of experience across strategy, operations, finance, and technology with a focus on London and international markets.
W. R. Berkley, Jr., Chairman, President and CEO, said Enright is suited to lead the London team, while highlighting Hastings’ progress over the last five years and confirming his role in the broader group going forward, the outlet reported.
