MSIG Asia appoints Ronak Shah as regional CEO effective Oct. 1, 2026
Shah will replace Clemens Philippi, who shifts to MS&AD’s Co-Chief Strategy Officer role in April 2026.
MSIG Asia, a general insurer in Southeast Asia and part of MS&AD Insurance Group Holdings, has named Ronak Shah as its Regional Chief Executive Officer, effective October 1, 2026, Reinsurance News reports.
Shah succeeds Clemens Philippi, who will move to a Co-Chief Strategy Officer role at MS&AD in April 2026 to lead the group’s International Business strategy.
In his new position, Shah will lead operations across Southeast Asia, Hong Kong, India, and Oceania, and take on regional leadership responsibilities for Mainland China, Taiwan, and Korea. The company said the expanded mandate is designed to align its strategy across Asia Pacific, improve execution, and accelerate business performance.
Reinsurance News added that Shah most recently served as CEO of Wholesale Markets Asia at QBE Asia, and previously held roles including country CEO of Singapore at the company. MSIG Asia said he brings more than two decades of insurance experience across Asia and North America.
