Cathay Pacific adds four Latin American destinations via Iberia code-share

Cathay will also move its Hong Kong to Madrid flights from four per week to daily starting October 25.

Cathay Pacific Airways will expand its international network by adding four Latin American destinations through a code-share arrangement with Spanish airline Iberia, the SCMP Economy reports.

Passengers from Hong Kong will be able to connect to Fortaleza and Recife in Brazil, Buenos Aires in Argentina, and Santo Domingo in the Dominican Republic under the new setup.

The airline also plans to increase the frequency of its nonstop flights from Hong Kong to Madrid from four per week to daily, beginning on October 25.

A Cathay spokesman said the new code-share flights bring Argentina and the Dominican Republic into Cathay’s code-share network for the first time, strengthening connectivity between Hong Kong and Latin America.
