Allianz Partners and Joybuy expand device protection to Europe
The coverage will include accidental damage, theft protection, and extended warranty options at Joybuy checkout in Germany, France, the Benelux region, and the UK.
Allianz Partners has partnered with Joybuy, JD.com’s e-commerce platform, to offer device and appliance protection to customers across Europe.
The products will be integrated into Joybuy’s online checkout process and will cover consumer electronics including mobile devices, gadgets, and home appliances, with customers able to choose accidental damage protection, theft protection, or extended warranty coverage.
The offering is set to be available for Joybuy customers in Germany, France, the Benelux region, and the UK, expanding Allianz’s relationship with JD.com that began in 2018 through their AllianzJD joint venture in China.
In a statement, Anna Kofoed, Chief Officer Global Strategic Partnerships at Allianz Partners, said the companies are deepening their partnership by combining e-commerce capabilities with insurance protection options to give customers more confidence when buying higher value electronics.
