Arch Insurance North America names Nora Deveau Chief Claims Officer

The appointment takes effect 1 August 2026, with outgoing Chief Claims Officer Patrick Nails retiring after 22 years at Arch.

Arch Insurance North America, part of Arch Capital Group Ltd., has appointed Nora Deveau as Chief Claims Officer, effective 1 August 2026.

Deveau will succeed Patrick Nails, who is retiring following 22 years of service at Arch Insurance. Nails joined Arch in 2004 and moved to the Claims Department in 2018.

Arch Insurance North America CEO Matt Shulman said Nails set a high standard for providing an exceptional claims experience and helped develop talent in the claims department. Shulman also praised Deveau’s technical expertise and steady leadership, noting her experience handling large and complex claims.

Reinsurance News reported that Deveau joined Arch in 2005 and most recently served as Executive Vice President, Deputy Chief Claims Officer since 2022. Deveau said she is excited to lead the claims organization while staying true to the company’s values and standards.
