Cover Genius raises $100M to expand embedded insurance platform
The funding values the insurtech at $1.9 billion, and it plans to invest in AI, platform scalability, and strategic acquisitions.
Cover Genius, an insurtech focused on embedded insurance, said it raised $100 million in new capital on July 15, backed by Vista Credit Partners, a subsidiary of Vista Equity Partners, according to Insurance Journal.
The company said the round lifts its valuation to $1.9 billion and that it will use the proceeds to deepen enterprise partnerships through enhanced integration, scale its AI capabilities, and invest in platform scalability and strategic acquisitions.
Cover Genius operates a B2B2C embedded protection platform that connects 200-plus partners with 50-plus global insurance carriers, covering over 70 million end customers at the point of sale across categories including travel, retail, ticketing, and logistics.
The company also said its technology adapts product design, pricing, and presentation in real time to match merchants’ customer journeys and geography mix. Cover Genius reported 50% year-over-year revenue growth in 2025 and said it crossed cumulative gross written sales of $3 billion.
