Rippling adds direct benefits carrier integrations with Guardian, MetLife, Unum
Rippling’s Preferred Carrier Program aims to automate eligibility, enrollment, and coverage data exchange, with phased migration for current users over the next 12 months.
HR, IT and finance platform Rippling has launched direct integrations with three benefits carriers, Guardian, MetLife, and Unum, under a new initiative called the Preferred Carrier Program, according to Coverager.
The program is designed to automate the exchange of eligibility, enrollment, and coverage data between Rippling and participating carriers. Integrations are co-developed by Rippling and each carrier, rather than built by Rippling and later made available, and include agreed-upon service standards and escalation procedures to resolve data discrepancies.
The initial rollout focuses on establishing direct enrollment integrations and shared operating standards. Future enhancements are expected to expand automation across the benefits administration lifecycle, including plan setup, coverage approvals, and ongoing administration.
Rippling said new customers implementing Guardian, MetLife, or Unum through Rippling will be eligible to use Preferred Carrier connections. Existing customers will gain access via a phased migration over the next 12 months.
