BHSI promotes healthcare liability executives to new US roles
The promotions expand BHSI’s healthcare institutions underwriting oversight across the US, with one executive leading portfolio strategy and underwriting performance.
Berkshire Hathaway Specialty Insurance has promoted Jarek Chmielowski to Healthcare Institutions Portfolio Manager and Greg Struhar to National Underwriting Manager for Healthcare Institutions in the company’s US healthcare professional liability business.
Chmielowski will lead the healthcare institutions portfolio strategy, underwriting performance, and market expansion across the US. Struhar, who reports to Chmielowski, will oversee national underwriting execution and coordinate with underwriting teams across the country.
BHSI said its US healthcare professional liability business serves hospitals and health systems, long-term care providers, managed care organizations, physician groups, allied health providers, and life sciences companies.
The company did not provide financial details in the announcement, but it said the leadership changes come as it continues to invest in its employer stop loss business.
