Munich Re Specialty names Robert McAdams as Group CUO from Oct 2026
McAdams will oversee the Global Markets Underwriting Office, while Dominick Hoare remains an active underwriter for Munich Re Syndicate until a successor is approved.
Munich Re Specialty – Global Markets has appointed Robert McAdams as Group Chief Underwriting Officer, effective October 1, 2026, succeeding Dominick Hoare.
In the new role, McAdams will lead the Global Markets Underwriting Office, while Hoare will continue as Active Underwriter for Munich Re Syndicate until a qualified successor is appointed and regulatory approval is granted, according to Reinsurance News.
The company said McAdams has led the Marine, Engineering and Special Risks underwriting teams since 2023, and joined Munich Re after a two-year tenure at Munich Re Syndicate Limited as Head of Marine.
Reinsurance News also noted McAdams previously served as Chief Underwriting Officer Global Marine at AXA XL and held senior underwriting roles at XL Catlin, before its acquisition by AXA.
