Suzlon shares slip 10% in July ahead of Q1FY27 results

The wind turbine maker’s March 2026 quarter saw consolidated net profit fall 5.6% year on year to ₹1,114 crore, even as revenue from operations rose to ₹5,468 crore.

Suzlon Energy shares were under renewed selling pressure in July, down about 10% so far this month, after ending the previous four months in the green, according to LiveMint Markets. The decline comes ahead of a board meeting on July 28 to consider and approve unaudited standalone and consolidated financial results for the quarter ended June 2026, or Q1FY27.

For the quarter ended March 2026, Suzlon reported consolidated net profit of ₹1,114 crore, a 5.6% year on year decline. The company attributed the drop mainly to a lower deferred tax benefit, which fell to ₹284.32 crore from ₹600.75 crore in the prior-year quarter, even as revenue from operations rose sharply to ₹5,468 crore from ₹3,774 crore a year earlier.

LiveMint Markets also notes that for the full financial year 2025 to 26, Suzlon’s consolidated net profit increased to ₹3,163 crore from ₹2,072 crore in the prior fiscal. Revenue from operations climbed to ₹16,679 crore in FY26, up from ₹10,851 crore in FY25.

Alongside the financial update, Suzlon pointed to a 5.9 GW order book, with 66% of orders coming from the public sector and the commercial and industrial segment. The company also cited its first commercial order for its newly launched S175 wind turbine, a 105 MW order placed by Sunsure Energy two weeks after the launch, and said it is working to expand beyond wind manufacturing into full-stack renewable energy solutions including project development, O and M, solar, battery energy storage systems, and international markets.
