Estrella Insurance family launches Star Burger in Miami
The 2,750-square-foot farm-to-table restaurant opened at 4901 SW 8th Street, serving burgers made with grass-fed and grass-finished beef shipped from the family ranch in Mt. Pleasant, Texas.
Coverager reports that the family behind Estrella Insurance has opened Star Burger, a farm-to-table smashburger restaurant in Miami. The restaurant, located at 4901 SW 8th Street, spans 2,750 square feet and serves burgers made with grass-fed, grass-finished beef raised at the Estrella family ranch in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, with beef shipped to Miami.
The concept was inspired by Estrella Insurance founder Nicolas Estrella, whose background includes growing up on a tobacco farm in Cuba before moving to the US. Coverager notes that his sons later expanded the family’s ranching operation into a restaurant concept, and the Star Burger name references the family name, with “estrella” meaning “star” in Spanish.
Star Burger’s menu includes smashburgers, chili fries, and fried pickles, plus house-made sauces. The restaurant offers indoor seating and a 750-square-foot covered terrace, and it is open daily from 11:30 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Coverager also points to the broader business context, saying Alliant-owned Confie acquired Estrella Insurance in May 2023, adding more than 190 of the Miami-based franchisor’s locations to its personal lines distribution business. It said Estrella Insurance continues to operate under its existing brand, while Star Burger is described as a separate venture by the Estrella family.
