Novo Nordisk sues Eli Lilly over alleged misleading GLP-1 ads

Novo asked the court to block Lilly from running the ads and require corrective advertising, according to CNBC.

Novo Nordisk has filed a lawsuit against Eli Lilly, alleging that Lilly’s GLP-1 advertising is misleading. CNBC Markets reports that Novo is seeking court intervention over the weight loss drug ads.

According to CNBC Markets, Novo is asking for a permanent stop order to prevent Lilly from running the alleged deceptive advertising. Novo also wants Lilly to issue corrective advertising to address what it says are misleading claims.

CNBC World similarly describes Novo’s request as seeking both an injunction and corrective ad requirements as part of the case. The companies did not provide any additional outcomes in the coverage summarized here.
