OpenSpace expands visual progress tracking for data center builds
The San Francisco proptech platform has supported more than 1,000 data center projects and documents progress on over 100,000 construction projects worldwide.
OpenSpace, a San Francisco-based visual intelligence platform, says it has supported more than 1,000 data center projects across the U.S., Europe, the Middle East, Canada, Australia and Singapore, helping contractors and owners document and analyze construction progress.
According to an interview with OpenSpace CEO and co-founder Jeevan Kalanithi in Commercial Observer, the company’s tools are designed to reduce the risk of delivering data center builds by providing a visual way to verify whether projects are actually meeting schedule and plans.
Kalanithi said OpenSpace Track pulls information from data sources such as 360-degree cameras and mobile phones, turning those inputs into owner-focused insights on progress and schedule certainty.
The CEO also pointed to the high stakes of delays in the sector, saying he recently heard of a data center delay where liquidated damages were reportedly $500 million, underscoring why real-time visibility is becoming more critical for managing risk.
