Progressive becomes exclusive insurance partner for Cleveland WNBA franchise
The insurer will also be the presenting partner for a theme and giveaway night each year starting with the team’s inaugural season in 2028.
Progressive has signed a multiyear deal to become the exclusive insurance partner and second founding partner of Cleveland’s new WNBA franchise, with branding planned for the team’s inaugural season in 2028.
Under the agreement, Progressive’s name and branding will appear on both the chest and abdomen of player jerseys, and the teams says it will be the first multiyear arrangement with one company in both positions on a WNBA jersey.
The Ohio-based insurer will also receive an annual opportunity to serve as the presenting partner for a theme and giveaway night, and the parties plan to collaborate on yearly community initiatives.
Progressive’s sponsorship follows KeyBank, which was announced as the franchise’s first founding partner, and the team is set to play at Cleveland’s Rocket Arena starting in 2028, according to Coverager.
