Amphitrite Underwriting London appoints Jack Thompson as war underwriter
The role is effective immediately and is aimed at expanding Amphitrite’s marine war insurance offering amid more complex war risk exposures.
Amphitrite Underwriting London has named Jack Thompson as its War Underwriter, effective immediately, according to Reinsurance News.
The specialist marine managing general agent said Thompson will help support the further development of Amphitrite’s marine war offering, providing responsive and efficient solutions for the evolving needs of the marine industry.
Amphitrite noted that Thompson brings more than a decade of experience, most recently serving as an underwriter at mutual insurance club UK War Risks, where he built the book of business to its largest size to date and developed relationships across the maritime industry.
In comments carried by Reinsurance News, Amphitrite CUO Dan Boutcher said Thompson’s underwriting expertise and business development capability are expected to support the company’s commitment to help clients manage heightened war risk exposures and market volatility, particularly as geopolitical complexity increases.
