biBerk passes 2 million small business policies sold
The direct-to-consumer carrier says it is trusted by more than 350,000 small businesses and posts a 4.9-out-of-5 customer rating.
biBerk, Berkshire Hathaway’s direct-to-consumer small business insurer, has surpassed 2 million policies sold, according to information on its website.
The milestone follows a June figure of more than 1.7 million policies highlighted on biBerk’s homepage. The insurer also reports a 4.9-out-of-5 customer rating and says it is trusted by more than 350,000 small businesses nationwide.
biBerk sells workers’ compensation, business owners, professional liability, general liability, commercial auto and umbrella insurance directly to small businesses. The carrier says most policies sold through its website are underwritten by Wellfleet Insurance Company, Berkshire Hathaway Direct Insurance Company, National Liability & Fire Insurance Company, or Wellfleet New York Insurance Company.
biBerk launched as Cover Your Business in 2016, rebranded in 2017, and refreshed its branding in 2018. Coverager also notes the latest homepage redesign is the fourth iteration in roughly a decade, and that biBerk’s new product offering includes workers’ compensation, professional liability and business owner’s policies.
