China and EU renew joint research agreement through 2027
The renewed two-year pact centers on food, agriculture and biosolutions, along with climate change and biodiversity.
China and the European Union have renewed a joint research agreement, signaling continued scientific cooperation despite ongoing trade tensions, according to Chinese state-linked media.
People’s Financial News, a publication affiliated with Communist Party mouthpiece People’s Daily, said the renewed two-year arrangement was reported on Wednesday and covers joint research funding through 2027.
The report said China’s Ministry of Science and Technology and the European Commission signed the joint research funding agreements to support scientific cooperation.
It said the work will focus on areas including food, agriculture and biosolutions, as well as climate change and biodiversity.
