Coal India to hold AGM on Aug. 31, record date set for final FY26 dividend

The state-owned miner will consider a proposed final dividend of ₹5.25 per share at its Aug. 31 AGM, with the record date for eligibility set for Sept. 4, 2026.

Coal India Ltd. has set 31 August 2026 for its 52nd Annual General Meeting, where shareholders will consider and approve the company’s proposed final dividend for the year ended March 2026.

The AGM will be held through video conferencing and other audio-visual means at 11:00 am, and shareholders can attend virtually via the NSDL e-voting platform, with virtual participants counted for quorum under the Companies Act.

Coal India fixed 4 September 2026 as the record date to determine which shareholders are eligible for the final dividend. The company said payment would go to eligible shareholders holding shares in demat or physical form as of that date, and that tax deducted at source will apply under the Income Tax Act, with detailed TDS exemption guidelines to follow on its website.

Separately, Coal India reported consolidated net profit of ₹10,839 crore for the March-ending quarter, up from ₹9,751 crore a year earlier. Consolidated revenue from operations rose 5.7% to ₹46,490 crore, and the company said this marked an improvement from the previous December-ended quarter.
