Indo SMC wins ₹66.6 crore order for Variable Frequency Drive panels

The contract is set to be completed by July 31, 2026, and the company reported FY26 profit more than doubling to ₹32 crore.

Indo SMC said it has secured a ₹66.60 crore order for Variable Frequency Drive, or VFD, panels from an Indian engineering company based in Maharashtra, with full execution scheduled by July 31, 2026, according to LiveMint Markets.

The company did not disclose the customer’s name, but said the buyer is a heavy fabrication firm serving power, sugar, cement, infrastructure, and railways, and it added that neither promoters nor the promoter group have any interest in the contracting entity.

Indo SMC, which makes electrical enclosures, transformers, and fiber-reinforced plastic products for power distribution and circuit protection, reported that FY26 net profit rose to ₹32 crore from ₹15 crore in FY25.

LiveMint Markets also noted that Indo SMC shares have surged since earlier in the year, rising nearly 190% from March lows to trade around ₹407, and the firm ended FY26 with an order book of ₹237 crore.
