Klaimee raises $5.5 million for AI-agent liability insurance

The San Francisco startup says its AI liability coverage is triggered when an autonomous AI agent acts on its own.

Klaimee, a San Francisco startup certifying and insuring autonomous AI agents, announced a $5.5 million seed funding round, according to Coverager.

Founded in 2026, the company says it evaluates and scores AI agents before providing AI liability insurance.

Klaimee’s coverage is designed to activate when an AI agent takes action independently, and the startup said it offers protection against incidents tied to that autonomy.

The round includes seed backers such as Y Combinator, FundersClub, Robinhood Ventures, and others.
