Radhakishan Damani buys stake in Sundaram Finance
Damani bought 2.63 million Sundaram Finance shares worth ₹1,163 crore, with the finance firm reporting FY26 AUM of ₹59,908 crore.
LiveMint Markets reports that investor Radhakishan Damani has increased his exposure to Sundaram Finance by buying 2.63 million shares, totaling ₹1,163 crore.
The outlet said Damani previously held no stake in the company in the prior two quarters.
LiveMint Markets linked the move to Sundaram Finance's FY26 performance, including assets under management of ₹59,908 crore, up 16.4% from FY25.
It also pointed to higher profitability and improved returns, with ROA rising to 3.03% in FY26 from 2.85% and ROE increasing to 17.5% from 16.3%, while net profit climbed to ₹2,058.9 crore from ₹1,879.4 crore.
