Terra Innovatum selected to supply microreactors for Brazil data centers

The letter of intent covers up to 8 MWe of behind-the-meter power generation for DIRECTV Latin America and SKY Brasil.

Terra Innovatum said Latin American technomedia group Waiken ILW has selected its SOLO micro-modular nuclear reactor platform for an initial deployment tied to data center infrastructure in Latin America, including Brazil.

The companies said they signed a letter of intent covering up to 8 MWe of behind-the-meter power generation capacity, intended to support DIRECTV Latin America and SKY Brasil (Jaguariúna).

Terra Innovatum said the initiative is meant to provide reliable, behind-the-meter clean power for Waiken ILW data centers and to serve as a proof of concept for other long-term, energy-intensive operations within the Waiken ILW group.

The company said it expects the project to be part of a broader push for standardized, factory-built micro-modular nuclear power internationally, and it described SOLO as designed to support both LEU+ and HALEU fuel options.
