BancaStato rolls out regulated crypto trading via Sygnum and Avaloq
The Swiss cantonal bank says customers can buy, sell and hold four crypto assets, BTC, ETH, LTC and SOL, through its existing web and mobile banking apps.
Swiss cantonal bank BancaStato has launched regulated cryptocurrency trading, integrating Sygnum’s crypto trading and custody services into its Avaloq-powered digital banking apps, according to Cointelegraph.
The integration connects Sygnum’s API directly to Avaloq’s banking platform, enabling customers to buy, sell and hold four crypto assets through BancaStato’s existing web and mobile channels, including Bitcoin, Ether, Litecoin and Solana.
Cointelegraph also reports that the setup is designed to remove the need for a separate order management system, which the companies said reduces operational complexity and makes it easier to add new features.
BancaStato is one of more than 25 financial institutions using Sygnum’s B2B platform to provide regulated digital asset services, and Cointelegraph cited Sygnum’s chief B2B officer, Fritz Jost, who called the launch a step toward more mature, scalable regulated digital asset infrastructure.
