CSG to build drone-engine propulsion plant in Wisconsin
The Stevens Point facility is set to begin initial assembly within months and aims for full-scale manufacturing in 2027, starting with up to $15 million in investment and about 125 skilled jobs over three years.
Czechoslovak Group, through its US subsidiary CSE USA and new unit Firecrest Aerospace, plans to build an advanced propulsion manufacturing facility in Stevens Point, Wisconsin focused on small turbojet and turbofan engines for unmanned aircraft and other defense applications, according to Yahoo Finance.
The project is expected to involve up to $15 million of initial investment and create about 125 skilled jobs over three years, with engine integration, ground testing, and flight validation planned at facilities tied to the Stevens Point Municipal Airport.
Initial assembly is expected to begin within months, with initial deliveries to follow. Firecrest also outlined a phased ramp-up, including a later expansion toward full domestic manufacturing, engineering, and product development.
As the operation matures, the company expects annual output to increase from hundreds of propulsion systems to several thousand engines, with full-scale manufacturing targeted for 2027.
