KAIO launches tokenized access to Mubadala Capital private markets
The offering went live across Base, Solana, and Sui with about $75 million in onchain value, and Coinbase plans to add exposure to the tokenized product.
KAIO said it launched tokenized access to an evergreen private-markets strategy from Mubadala Capital, the asset-management arm linked to Abu Dhabi’s sovereign wealth apparatus. The product went live Wednesday across Base, Solana, and Sui, with KAIO citing approximately $75 million in onchain value coming from both traditional and digital-asset investors.
KAIO described the initiative as a step toward making sovereign wealth fund-backed private markets strategies accessible through regulated digital infrastructure. The firm said Coinbase will be adding exposure to the tokenized offering, aligning the move with what it characterized as growing appetite among publicly listed digital asset companies for regulated RWAs.
The launch figures were presented in multiple ways across official channels. KAIO referenced about $75 million in onchain TVL, Solana described $75 million in commitments and said KAIO brings the Mubadala Capital Alternative Solutions Fund to Solana, while Sui’s account added additional claims including $3.7B NAV and a count of 650-plus underlying companies, which were not independently confirmed in the reporting.
The story notes that onchain contract addresses were not published in the posts reviewed, and it also flags that the broader scale figures attributed to Mubadala’s sovereign sponsor were not verified. Still, the launch expands tokenized fund offerings that place a U.S. exchange, Coinbase, in the position of taking exposure to a tokenized, illiquid asset rather than only providing core infrastructure.
