KKR names former Manulife CEO Roy Gori as Senior Advisor
Gori, who led Manulife from 2017 until retiring in 2025, will advise KKR on insurance and financial services opportunities with an Asia Pacific focus.
KKR has appointed Roy Gori, the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Manulife, as a Senior Advisor, according to Reinsurance News.
In the role, Gori will provide strategic counsel on opportunities across financial services and insurance, with a focus on Asia Pacific and international markets, and will work with KKR’s leadership team and investment professionals, including its insurance business Global Atlantic.
KKR said Gori will advise on areas such as market structure, regulatory environments, distribution models, partnerships, and international opportunities across insurance, wealth management, and banking-related platforms.
Gori brings more than three decades of leadership experience across insurance and retail financial services, including serving as Manulife’s CEO from 2017 until his retirement in 2025, and previously spending 18 years at Citi, most recently as Regional Head of Retail Banking for Asia Pacific.
